Founded on November 27th, 2017 by Scott Buehler, Cult of Happy is a movement, a cause and community dealing with anything and everything happy! Our goal is to change the world, one person at a time, by reporting on news, events and occasions that inspire, motivate and promote happiness.
Cult as defined by Merriam-Webster 2-a: great devotion to a person, idea, object, movement, or work (such as a film or book)
Cult as defined by dictionary.com:
We define Cult of Happy as a group movement of people obsessed with finding and maintaining happiness. We do not feign ignorance towards negativity, instead we identify it, rise above it and become stronger as a collective by surrounding ourselves with the positive. Through constant exposure to the good of humanity, we’re able to change our mindset, our responses and actions when faced with negative situations.
There’s something amazing that happens when you watch body transformations, read/watch news about heroes in our world, watch that large guy dance without a care to the world, read about groups planting trees to restore forests and discover uplifting medical advancements that cure. If people are anything like me, when you make the switch to the Cult of Happy (obsession of happiness), suddenly you become more relaxed, calmer, observe nature’s beauty and take less for granted.
We’ve created a page that explains our Happy Squad movement.
The Happy Squad are our community members who take an active part in notifying us of amazing, inspirational, transformational and other content that promotes happiness on multiple social media platforms. Happy Squad members who work the hardest may even be invited to join our team of writers, outreach and other projects within the Cult of Happy community.
Let us all work together to make that one extra person happy. Through our collective efforts, we can impact cities, states and countries throughout the world.
